Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Porter (Non-driving) for Greektown (Wed–Sun, 9pm–5am) and 1001 Woodward (Mon–Fri, 6pm–2:30am). The role involves facility maintenance, cleaning, and general duties to support a busy garage environment. A Parking Attendant License may be required.

Qualifications

• Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The individual will only be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, if the individual is expected to be able to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.
• Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Physical Demands: Regular standing/walking, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure that dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed.
• Walk to the garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances and exits and clean rails and surfaces on all levels.
• Replace burned out bulbs.
• Shovel, plow or blow snow from ramps and designated areas.
• Report safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Maintain neat appearance and complete uniform during shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
