Job summary

Amcor is seeking a skilled area mechanic for preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment across multiple areas (Press, Finishing, Extrusion). The role involves welding, fabrication, piping, electrical tasks, and reading blueprints.

You will operate a range of tools and follow GMP and food-safety procedures. Include responsibilities for log-keeping, safety compliance, and training on equipment.

Qualifications

• Must provide own personal hand tools.
• Complete 21 Home Study Courses in appropriate time.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical maintenance including piping, sheet metal and minor electrical work.
• Use hand and power tools and test equipment to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Weld and fabricate metal components (gas, MIG, TIG) as required.
• Maintain logs of work performed and follow safety procedures.
