Job summary

Amcor in Centerville, IA seeks an area maintenance mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment across presses, slitters, finishing and extrusion lines. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, weld and fabricate as needed, and log all work in the equipment records.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, GMP compliance, training others on new equipment, and supporting annual machine overhauls.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Welding and fabrication of metal guards and structures are required.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and measurement devices.
• Experience reading log books and completing work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings for repairs.
• Welding (gas, MIG, TIG) and fabrication as needed.
• Log all work, follow GMP and food safety rules, and train others.
