Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Mechanic to independently overhaul, troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment across the facility, including installing new equipment. The role covers component preparation, compounding, filling, capping, packaging, and machine shop work under the Production Supervisor's guidance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of work experience in electrical, pipe fitting, machinist, or other trade.
• GMP pharma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and plant systems.
• Performs setup and installation of equipment and training for production employees on machine operation.
• Diagnoses malfunctions of production equipment and utility systems and makes necessary repairs.
• Completes work orders, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
• May handle waste including hazardous waste.
