Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for 3rd shift (Sun-Thu 11pm-7:30am). You will overhaul, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, install new systems, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor to set priorities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment setup, diagnosing malfunctions, and completing work orders. You may handle waste including hazardous materials; GMP pharma experience and strong documentation are

• 5+ years of experience in electrical, pipe fitting, machinist or related trade.
• Experience interpreting drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• GMP pharma experience.
• Documentation and CMMS experience.

Your Role

Under general supervision, the mechanic independently overhauls, troubleshoots and repairs machinery, equipment and the facility at large as well as installing new equipment. The Mechanic shall be required to perform work in one or more of the following manufacturing areas: component preparation, compounding, filling, capping, packaging, and machine shop. In this role you will work with the area Production Supervisor to determine work and repair priorities that may impact their operation.

3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7:30am.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Physical Attributes

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Use ladders regularly.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of work experience in electrical, pipe fitting, machinist, or other trade.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interpreting drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient in maintaining documentation.
• GMP pharma experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; repairing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting.
• Boiler and/or steam experience.
• Documentation and CMMS experience.

Pay Range for this position: $70,600 - $111,000 / year

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
