Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support the production floor, equipment, and facilities. The role requires a strong work ethic and safety focus, with a foundational understanding of hand tools, mechanics, and facilities maintenance.

You will assist senior technicians with maintenance tasks, perform routine PMs, and help with basic repairs and clean-up. This is a 3rd shift position offering growth and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training required.
• Familiarity with standard hand and power tools; basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with maintenance, cleaning, and basic servicing of manufacturing machinery and ovens.
• Perform routine PM tasks: change air and fluid filters, check fluid levels, monitor climate control systems.
• Execute basic repairs such as drywall patching, carpentry, painting, light bulb replacement, and simple plumbing.
• Clean production areas and perform groundskeeping duties.
• Move and rearrange furniture and equipment as needed.
• Acquire and deliver parts for maintenance.
• Log completed maintenance in CMMS and follow safety rules.
