Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Lead who, under minimum supervision, installs, maintains, repairs or rebuilds complex machine tools and plant equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and covers second and third shifts.

Responsibilities include disassembling equipment, repairing parts, troubleshooting plant systems, and installing new equipment under supervision. Candidate must have strong decision-making skills and the ability to operate metalworking tools and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalency.
10+ years of related experience.
Specialized experience with boilers, hydraulics and plumbing.
Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Ability to drive a forklift, cherry picker (boom lift), and scissor lift.

Responsibilities

Disassembles problem equipment and determines repair scope.
Repairs, refits or replaces worn or defective parts.
Troubleshoot various plant equipment and systems.
Installs new plant equipment under engineering supervision.
Operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools.
Manages or participates in handling, storage and disposal of hazardous substances or waste.
Repairs electrical equipment.
