Job summary

Swagelok in Ohio is seeking a skilled machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot precision machining equipment. You will perform tool changes, monitor quality, and document production details on a night-shift schedule (6pm–6am).

Ideal candidates have 30+ months of machining experience, a Level 2 operator qualification, and strong knowledge of metal and plastic cutting processes. Benefits include robust health and retirement plans, plus ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• External: Minimum of 30 months of applicable machining experience.
• Internal: Must be fully qualified as a Level 2 Machine Operator.
• Advanced knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.
• Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform start-stop procedures including loading of raw material and machine shutdown.
• Perform tool and fixture setup and adjustments.
• Complete records and forms.
• Check machined parts against quality standards.
• Report malfunctions and discrepancies to supervisor.
