Job summary

Swagelok is hiring a Level 2 Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:15 pm, Mon–Fri) in Northeast Ohio. The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus after 30 days of employment and a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, PTO, and career development opportunities.

Overtime and 10% shift differential on off-shift hours apply. The pay range is $18.40–$25.80 per hour, with the starting pay determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 30 months of applicable machining experience.
• Must be fully qualified as a Level 2 Machine Operator.
• Advanced knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.
• Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
• Operate machine: loading/unloading parts, inspection gauges, calipers, micrometers, and related tools.
• Identifies and corrects machining problems relative to tools and tool holders.

Responsibilities

• Complete set-up and operation of machining equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform start-stop procedures including machine start-up, loading raw material, and shutdown.
• Make changes and set-ups to tooling and fixtures as required.
• Complete records and forms and ensure quality standards.
• Inspect machined parts visually and dimensionally according to quality standards.
• Report machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to supervisor.
• Perform daily, semi-annual and annual machine maintenance.
• Suggest process changes to improve machining operations.
