Job summary

Hillphoenix is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) in Richmond, VA. The role fabricates products using various tools and machines, adheres to production schedules, and performs preventative maintenance as needed.

The candidate will set up, lay out, and stage parts, review assemblies against drawings and BOMs, and participate in cross-functional teams while maintaining safe work practices in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience.
• 1 to 2 years of fabrication/machining preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies / parts for products per engineering documents and production standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions.
• Reject defective parts per policy.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in cross functional meetings.
• Complex troubleshooting.
• Cross-train team members.
