Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Machine Operator I for the Night Shift in West Hazleton, PA. You will operate plastic blow molding machines and related equipment to produce containers safely and efficiently.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with extrusion or similar machinery and be comfortable with tooling changes, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting. The role requires strong attention to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plastic extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and GMP procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Willingness to perform other duties as needed during slow periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce containers safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic adjustments, color changes, and minor repairs to maintain quality and uptime.
• Monitor resin levels, dryers, material handling, and color systems for proper processing conditions.
• Conduct on-time quality checks and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Assist maintenance and other operators with mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Support training of new operators and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate production needs and issues to supervisors and leads.
