Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Machine Operator I based in West Hazleton, PA for the DAY SHIFT (12 hours, 6:30am to 7:00pm). Candidates should have 3–5 years of manufacturing extrusion experience and proven ability to operate complex machinery safely and efficiently.

The Operator will run plastic blow molding machines, perform adjustments or minor repairs, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while staying positive.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce containers safely and with high quality.
• Follow safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies; enforce procedures and practices.
• Perform mold, insert and color changes on the line and basic processing to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Provide basic maintenance and assist other operators and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Monitor resin, dryer, and material handling for proper processing conditions; perform on-time quality checks.
• Train new operators and assist in shift communication to coordinate line support.
