Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a skilled machine operator to operate and set up production lines in our precast/concrete facility. You will follow safety policies, read specifications, and adjust machinery to meet quality standards.

You will inspect product, perform routine maintenance, keep area clean, and support teammates to meet deadlines. A high school diploma and hands-on experience are required, plus ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have machine operator experience and mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/equivalent; or related experience in trades.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and other tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as needed.
