Job summary

MARS PETCARE seeks an Operator 2 – Mixing for the Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. This night-shift role focuses on loading materials, operating mixing equipment, and upholding safety and quality standards in pet food manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience; must lift 50 pounds, stand long periods, and enter data on a computer or IPad. We offer comprehensive benefits and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Computer / IPad literate with data entry skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods on hard surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards using LOTO and confined space procedures.
• Load production materials meeting quality and safety standards.
• Assist with product changeovers on primary equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the team to prevent downtime and quality issues.
• Operate equipment during breaks and lunches as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety practices to ensure quality.
• Document quality attributes and production data for shift reports.
