Parkland Health in Dallas is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time night shift in Jail West Tower. You will provide total nursing care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LVN program or Texas LVN license (or compact LVN). Current BLS certification is required. Strong communication and patient-centered care are essential, with emphasis on teamwork and adherence to policy.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing or licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as an LVN, or hold a valid Compact LVN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from AHA/ARC/Military Training Network.

Responsabilidades

• Screens and prioritizes patients and delivers timely care per physician orders.
• Assists with patient flow, treatments, and discharge activities.
• Ensures compliance with nursing regulations, policies, and Joint Commission standards.
• Educates patients and families and supports community health outreach as needed.
• Precepts or mentors new staff and students as directed by supervisor.
• Completes documentation according to procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborates with team to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
• Ensures supplies are available for patient care and assists with stocking.
