Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Night Production Associate to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

The role involves moving and securing materials, stacking per bundle sizes, labeling with type/size/count, applying tags, using a staple gun, and ensuring accuracy in inventory and production records while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and supporting safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Binds, bundles and secures material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to policy.
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
