Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking general labor to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements. The role involves moving and securing materials, stacking according to bundle sizes, labeling by type, size, and count, and maintaining organized work areas.

The position requires basic math, 18+ years of age, and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lumber is preferred but not mandatory, with emphasis on safety and accurate production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Maintains inventory of tags and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
