Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a General Labor Associate to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements. The role emphasizes accuracy in stacking, labeling, tagging, and inventory recording to support production goals.

You will follow safety guidelines, participate in CI and other programs, and assist with other areas as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required; basic math skills and being at least 18 are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
