Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring Production Associates to support manufacturing operations by safely handling, organizing, and preparing lumber products for production and shipment. This hands-on role offers entry-level candidates a path to grow in manufacturing, lumber operations, or production.

Responsibilities include moving and labeling materials, ensuring quality, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety procedures in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a physical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Move lumber products and materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products by bundle size and customer requirements.
• Label materials by product type, size, and count.
• Apply tags before/after treating or production.
• Band, bundle, and secure materials using strapping and corner protectors.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Verify correct quantities are bundled, labeled, and secured.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Record production activity on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, CI, and team activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
