Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med-Surg unit in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts available are Nights; assignment length is 12 weeks.

Pay ranges from $40.00–$50.00 per hour, up to $1,680–$2,100 gross per week. Responsibilities include bedside care, vitals monitoring, IV therapy, charting in EMR/EHR, and coordination with RNs and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of LPN Med Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
