Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med Surg unit in Lewiston, Maine. Night shifts, 12-week assignment, with weekly pay and a competitive compensation package.

You will provide bedside patient care, monitor vitals, assist with medications and IV therapy, document in EMR/EHR, and collaborate with RNs and physicians to ensure patient safety and throughput.

Qualifications

• LPN Med Surg experience required (1 year).
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; LPN/LVN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
