Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer on 3rd shift (Saturday to Wednesday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM) to help safeguard our facility. The role emphasizes safety audits, incident prevention, and staff training in a large distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE and safe operation of powered equipment.
• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.
• Monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees disposition of damaged items and moves them to a safe location.
• Conducts inventories counts and cycle counts.
• Reads SOPs, hears alarms, and monitors CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Performs housekeeping to keep areas clean.
