Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm). The role focuses on security protocol compliance, surveillance, hazardous-materials handling, and accident investigations at our distribution centers and stores.

You’ll conduct safety audits, supervise access control, supervise item handling, and train staff. A strong safety mindset and CCTV experience are valued, with extensive benefits and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building through metal detectors to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.
• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.
• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

Compensation Details

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour, plus $1.25 shift differential

Job Description

Loss Prevention Officer Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm (2nd Shift)

What You’ll Do

• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.
