Job summary

ITS Logistics is seeking a candidate for the night shift role responsible for bidding and winning shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, and tracing shipments within the ITS network. You will work under the Strategic Account Manager and Night Area Manager to manage the night shift book of business.

The position emphasizes timely communication, issue resolution, and maintaining load accuracy across ITS’s brokerage division.

Qualifications

This role requires strong communication abilities, including business writing and verbal skills.
The candidate should be able to document activities clearly in a Transportation Management System (TMS).
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities are essential.
Demonstrated grit to persevere in high-stress situations is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

Negotiate competitive market rates with potential carriers.
Vet tendered carriers in line with ITS standards.
Cover/Recover broken-down shipments and cover night shift spot market.
Manage open contracted loads as assigned by SAM/Sr NAM.
Assist with high-level issue resolution escalated from Night Operations.
Track and trace shipments using ITS systems and provide updates.
Maintain driver relationships and provide needed support.
Communicate timely, accurate updates to customers within the network.
Use technology to monitor orders for on-time delivery and adjust windows in TMS.
Escalate delays, refusals, losses, or revenue issues to the appropriate team.
