Job summary

Parker Hannin Corp Parflex Division in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a 3rd shift Supervisor to lead a small team of hose production operators. You will apply Lean principles to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment and partner closely with the Plant Manager.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with manufacturing experience and proven leadership abilities. Responsibilities include coaching, daily operations, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities

• Foster safety, quality, and employee empowerment by enforcing standardized work, 5S principles, & safety regulations.
• Lead and oversee daily production operations across assigned value stream(s), coordinating between shifts and with supply chain and production control teams.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools (PDCA cycles, pull systems, leveling workloads) to reduce costs, lead times, and inventory.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Team Members and Leads to build a qualified, engaged, high-performing team.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss challenges, share solutions, and promote open communication.
• Utilize visual management tools such as Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to monitor performance and ensure transparency.
• Support the Plant Manager in budget preparation, adherence, and strategic planning for continuous improvements.
• Ensure cross-training of Team Members to maintain operational flexibility and uninterrupted workflow.
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and 'right-first time' quality standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Minimal travel as needed.
