Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Lead Structural Welder for the night shift at the Starbase launch site. The role leads the welding team, supervises task assignments, and ensures safe, on-time completion of welding for site structures and piping.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 5+ years in structural welding; 3+ years of leadership in small weld teams is preferred, with experience in pipe welding and aerospace environments advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of structural welding experience.
• Experience leading weld teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy and engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous metals and welding safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the welding team on a daily basis.
• Assign, reassign and schedule work to meet performance standards.
• Coach, mentor and train team members as needed.
• Report status and issues to leadership and customers.
• Complete welding assignments for construction and repair of site structures on time and safely.
• Coordinate with flight control, fabrication, civil, and engineering groups.
