Job summary

AdventHealth Orange City is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our night shift team. You will supervise staff on shift, support management, and deliver cardiopulmonary care in line with policy while ensuring patient progress and safety.

Required NBRC credential and Florida RRT license; 3+ years in hospital and 1+ year in critical care; associate degree required, bachelor’s preferred. This role offers leadership growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic computer skills (Word).
• Clinical skills and leadership qualities preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff on shift.
• NBRC credential required by Florida law.

Responsibilities

• Provides frontline leadership and direct supervision to all staff on shift.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of Respiratory leadership.
• Supervises delivery of cardiopulmonary care per policy and procedure.
• Monitors patient progress and reassesses therapy.
• Recommends changes in care plans based on medical necessity and protocols.
• Delivers emergent and routine respiratory care with operational efficiency.
• Oversees orientation and competency progress for staff and students.
