Job summary

Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces in Temple, TX is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead hourly production teams on the evening shift. You will drive safety, quality and delivery while managing inventory and daily KPI performance.

In this role you will organize staffing, coach team members, implement continuous improvement ideas, and collaborate across departments to meet production schedules. Bachelor degree required with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1 year experience may substitute for 1 year of degree.
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Organizes personnel assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements
• Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions
• Assist in developing and orientate new team members
• Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives
• Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities
• Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members
• Collaborate cross functionally with other departments and organizational stakeholders
