Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Shift Lead for the Hybrid Cloud Tier 2 Technical Assistance Center in Kansas City, MO. The role is night shift, 6 months rotation, overseeing 24x7 operations for USMC enterprise cloud services.

You will lead a small team, triage incidents, manage ITSM processes, and coordinate with Tier 3 for complex issues, while ensuring service levels and reporting requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with BS/BA; 3+ years with MS/MA, or 11+ years of experience with HS.
• ITIL training or certification within 30 days of start.
• Experience triaging data-center incidents and events for effective resolution.
• Experience with server administration: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, SharePoint.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management processes and incident/event management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise for 24x7 Tier 2 center operations.
• Lead a 5-person shift and coordinate team tasks.
• Execute Data Center Service Desk processes and ITSM activities.
• Manage incidents, events, requests, patching, and queue management.
• Monitor and triage data-center systems; coordinate with Tier 3 for resolution.
• Provide leadership reporting for data-center operations; maintain status updates.
• Support training and development of junior staff; work weekends and nights.
