Job summary

National EWP seeks a Lead CNC Machinist for night shift in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves setting up and operating CNC and NC machines to fabricate parts, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on a 5-on/2-off schedule from 4:30 pm to 3:30 am.

The candidate will mentor others, review blueprints, and collaborate with foremen and engineers to resolve issues and improve cycle times, while maintaining a clean, organized workplace.

Qualifications

• AA degree or two-three years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to train, mentor, and lead other CNC machinists.
• Knowledge of CNC quality inspection procedures and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret instructions.
• Mazak Mazatrol programming experience preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with foreman and supervisors.
• Study blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
• Set up and operate machines; adjust controls and verify tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine maintenance.
