Job summary

CMI Group in Phoenix is seeking experienced night shift CNC machinists to operate CNC mills, lathes, Swiss and grinders. The role requires 2+ years of CNC experience and solid GD&T knowledge, plus the ability to read blueprints and set up tooling.

You will perform daily maintenance, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure quality through in-process inspection. Applicants should be able to stand for long periods and work 40+ hours weekly in a fast-paced aerospace environment with a 20% night

Qualifications

2+ years of experience running CNC lathes, mills or grinders.
Good understanding of GD&T and industry inspection standards.
Able to stand for the majority of the work shift.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines without oversight running proven production jobs.
Understand process troubleshooting techniques with the ability to display those attributes.
Demonstrate proper setup techniques, loading, indicating, touch off, of all tooling; load programs and verify operation.
Daily machine maintenance and keeping workspace clean and organized.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and related standards.
Tool management and offset loading to compensate for wear; replace worn tools.
Record inspection data and use basic inspection tools to verify dimensions.
Communicate any job issues to lead personnel for resolution.
