Job summary

CMI Group in Phoenix is seeking experienced night shift CNC machinists to operate CNC mills, lathes, Swiss and grinders. The role requires 2+ years of CNC experience and solid GD&T knowledge, plus the ability to read blueprints and set up tooling.

You will perform daily maintenance, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure quality through in-process inspection. Applicants should be able to stand for long periods and work 40+ hours weekly in a fast-paced aerospace environment with a 20% night

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience running CNC lathes, mills or grinders.
• Good understanding of GD&T and industry inspection standards.
• Able to stand for the majority of the work shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines without oversight running proven production jobs.
• Understand process troubleshooting techniques with the ability to display those attributes.
• Demonstrate proper setup techniques, loading, indicating, touch off, of all tooling; load programs and verify operation.
• Daily machine maintenance and keeping workspace clean and organized.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and related standards.
• Tool management and offset loading to compensate for wear; replace worn tools.
• Record inspection data and use basic inspection tools to verify dimensions.
• Communicate any job issues to lead personnel for resolution.
