Job summary

National EWP in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a night shift CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC, NC, and conventional machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. The role follows a 4:30 pm–3:30 am, five days on / two off schedule and emphasizes safety and quality.

Qualifications include an AA degree or two to three years of related experience, knowledge of CNC quality inspection procedures and precision measuring instruments, ability to read drawings, Mazak Mazatrol experience preferred,

Qualifications

AA degree or 2–3 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
Knowledge of CNC quality inspection procedures and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Mazak Mazatrol programming experience preferred.
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and MVR.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC, NC, and conventional machines to fabricate parts.
Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Measure and mark dimensions on material as guides for machining.
Select fixtures, tools, and attachments to machine parts as required.
Set controls to regulate machining factors and input/edit program data.
Observe machine operation and adjust controls to correct issues.
Verify conformance of finished parts using inspection tools.
Set up and run a trial to verify machine settings.
Reduce cycle times while maintaining quality.
Perform routine maintenance on machines.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
