Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Lactation Consultant RN for a part-time NIGHT shift (6:00 PM–2:00 AM, 20 hours/week). The role requires IBCLC/CLC/CBS and RN licensure, with a strong focus on breastfeeding education and individualized family support.

You will round on patients in L&D, Postpartum, and NICU, develop feeding plans, and collaborate with pediatricians and speech therapy to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• IBCLC, CLC or CBS certification required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan lactation care for mothers and babies in L&D, Postpartum, and NICU.
• Provide individualized lactation education and support to patients and families.
• Develop feeding plans and coordinate with pediatricians and therapists.
• Deliver ongoing education programs on lactation and breastfeeding techniques.
• Document care and updates in the medical record and communicate with care team.
