Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.

• NRP/BSL certification must be obtained within six months of start.

Responsibilities

• Assesses lactation needs and formulates individualized plans of care.
• Delivers breastfeeding education to patients and staff.
• Develops feeding plans and collaborates with pediatricians and speech therapy.
• Provides continuing lactation education and updates materials as needed.
• Documents care and coordinates with health care team.
