Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Laboratory Shift Coordinator to lead the 1930–0700 night shift. This role oversees the laboratory operations, quality control, equipment maintenance, and specimen collection, coordinating technical and administrative activities across all lab sections.

You will ensure STAT, routine, and critical value reporting meet turnaround times; manage staff schedules and development; liaise with providers and department managers to optimize services

Qualifications

• Oversee overnight lab operations, including high-quality tests, QC, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure turnaround times for STAT, routine, and critical value reporting.
• Lead staff development and training for MLS, MLT, lab assistants and phlebotomists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the night shift laboratory operations, QC, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate the technical and administrative operations of all lab sections.
• Maintain work schedules for MLS, MLT, Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists.
• Act as liaison between laboratory staff, health care providers, department managers, and health care entities.
