Medical City Dallas is seeking a Laboratory Shift Coordinator to manage the night shift operations, ensuring timely STAT and routine testing, QC, and equipment maintenance. The role requires coordinating technical and administrative activities across all lab sections and leading a team of MLS, MLT, Lab Assistants, and Phlebotomists.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and national certification in a clinical laboratory discipline.
• Experience leading a night-shift laboratory team is preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, preventive maintenance, and specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the night shift laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality lab tests and accurate turnaround times.
• Coordinate technical and administrative operations across all laboratory sections.
• Maintain staff schedules for MLS, MLT, Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists; ensure attendance and productivity.
• Serve as liaison between lab staff, healthcare providers, and department managers to coordinate services and results.
• Uphold Code of Conduct and institutional ethics in daily activities.
