Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking a Night Shift Staff Nurse II/III in Labor & Delivery to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care under the Nurse Practice Act. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the health care team to deliver a comprehensive plan of care and act as a preceptor when needed.

Requirements include ASN, CA RN license, BLS, and 12+ months of acute care experience. Pharmacology and EKG tests may be required.

Qualifications

• CA RN license required; BLS/Healthcare Provider status required.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents in the chart.
• Implements plan of care and coordinates with care team.
• Provides patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Acts as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
