Job summary

Salinas Valley Health in Salinas, CA is seeking a Staff Nurse II/III for ICU/CCU to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will supervise staff, collaborate with physicians, and participate in discharge planning and patient/family teaching.

Qualifications include ASN with BSN preferred, CA RN license, and BLS; 12+ months in acute care. Night shifts required with CNA union, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license and BLS/Healthcare Provider per AHA standards.
• Twelve (12) months of RN experience in acute care; pharmacology and EKG test required.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment and documents in patient record.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care with physicians and health team.
• Initiates and participates in discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Acts as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
