Job summary

Salinas Valley Health's Emergency Department is seeking a Staff Nurse II/III for night shift. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, supervise team members, and collaborate with physicians and families to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN in Nursing (BSN preferred), California RN license, BLS certification, and at least 12 months of acute care experience. Pharmacology and EKG tests are required during hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately.
• Develops and executes plan of care based on assessment and patient needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team to plan care.
• Provides, delegates, coordinates, and evaluates plan of care.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Demonstrates safety, efficiency, and teamwork in care delivery.
