Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. You will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care during labor and delivery, monitoring mother and baby, administering medications, and supporting families through childbirth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current and active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required or obtained within designated timeframe.
• Current NRP certification required or obtained within designated timeframe.
• Fetal monitoring certification or demonstrated competency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Assess maternal and fetal status through ongoing monitoring and labor progression.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered, including pain management.
• Assist physicians, midwives, and anesthesia providers during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
• Educate patients and families on labor expectations, newborn care, and recovery.
