Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Richland, WA. The role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, and data entry of patient information.

You will ensure equipment functions properly and perform routine maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or équivalent; a subsequent Associate’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Education
