Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant in Seattle, WA to support routine lab operations on the 3rd shift. Responsibilities include receiving specimens, preparing samples for testing, data entry, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Prior lab or healthcare experience is beneficial.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, and be able to work overtime as needed in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of healthcare industry experience.
• 6 months in assembly/manufacturing production environment.
• 6 months in medical/clinical laboratory experience.
• Current or prior LabCorp experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
