Job summary

Labcorp in Portland, OR is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team on 1st shift. You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare them for testing, and perform data entry to support accurate results.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preference given to those with healthcare or lab experience; color vision testing may be required, plus overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain logs and complete administrative duties as requested.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
