Job summary

Neogen in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support high-throughput sample processing on the night shift (2pm - 12:30am). You will prepare samples, perform DNA extraction and amplification steps, and handle plates and consumables according to SOPs.

You will operate automated systems, document results in LIMS, and help maintain a clean, compliant lab environment while meeting production timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred in a life sciences field such as molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, or biology
• 0-1 years’ laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to operate automated liquid handling systems and robotic platforms
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs, ISO standards, and safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory activities within a stage of the sample processing workflow, including preparation, DNA extraction and amplification steps
• Handle and process biological samples following defined laboratory protocols
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and automated systems while following SOPs
• Generate routine reviews of data outputs and maintain accurate records in LIMS
