Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (preferably in Science) required.
• Two years of lab experience required.
• Or total of four years of experience as a Lab Technician may substitute the education requirement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Medical Laboratory Science may substitute two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced manual processing.
• Interpret and accession reference lab specimens.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Perform body fluid processing using aseptic technique.
• Conduct higher level accessioning in the Lab Information System (LIS).
• Perform extensive manual processing for esoteric testing and non-Cleveland Clinic reference laboratories.
• Perform all duties of the Laboratory Processing Technician II.
