Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of lab experience.
• OR Associate's Degree (will substitute for up to one year of experience).

Responsibilities

• Receive and access ion laboratory specimens into the LIS.
• Retrieve, sort, track and deliver specimens.
• Accept or reject specimens according to established standards.
• Perform specimen investigation procedures to resolve lab specimen issues.
• Verify accurate documentation relative to specimen processing.
• Maintain patient, specimen and tracking data using the LIS.
• Prepare specimens for analysis.
• Perform manual processing (centrifuge, aliquoting and routine maintenance).
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic clerical functions.
