Job summary

Pride Health is recruiting for an Overnight Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant to support a medical facility in Chantilly, VA. The role is a 3-month assignment with possible extension or conversion, offering a starting pay rate of $20–$23 per hour (W2).

The candidate will work mainly on the night shift with potential weekends/holidays as needed. Responsibilities include sorting, puck and aliquot preparation, sample scanning and storage, and handling -20 degree temperatures briefly.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computers.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort samples, puck samples, aliquot samples, and scan/store samples.
• Handle -20 degree temperatures for short periods as required.
• Perform data entry and support functions within Specimen Processing.
• Assist in A-station, presort, pickup/delivery of processed specimens to the lab, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and timely work; adapt to daily changes in test ordering regulations.
