Job summary

Kforce Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Information Technology Application Support Analyst for a contract-to-hire role.

The position is primarily remote with about one month onsite training in Birmingham and a central night shift from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM CT. You will monitor production apps, validate releases, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with developers and business partners to keep systems stable.

Qualifications

Experience supporting applications in a production or IT support environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working a permanent overnight shift
Ability to attend onsite training in Birmingham, Alabama for approximately one month

Responsibilities

Monitor and support production applications during overnight operations
Perform application and release validations following software deployments
Troubleshoot production issues and resolve support tickets from the team's queue
Investigate incidents and escalate issues when appropriate
Document findings, resolutions, and support activities
Collaborate with application support teams, developers, and business partners to resolve issues efficiently
Participate in an overnight support environment that ensures application stability and availability
Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every eight weeks
