Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Overnight Stocker to join the overnight crew, ensuring shelves are full, organized, and ready for customers each morning. You will unload trucks, rotate stock, and maintain the backroom to support a smooth overnight operation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to learn, thrive in a team, and stay active during shifts. Overnight work, 18+ requirement, and compliance with store policies are noted.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly.
• Organize stock for efficiency and clean and restock damaged items.
• Tag shelves with overstock and understock drawers and report new items to scanners.
