Job summary

Geisinger is hiring a full-time Inpatient Registered Nurse for the Geisinger Medical Center. The role focuses on direct patient care in an inpatient setting, with emphasis on safe, compassionate nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, and discharge planning with the team. Schedule: night shift, 36 hours weekly, every other weekend and holiday. Unit specializes in Advanced Acute Care Cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing is required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities.
• Coordinate patient care among staff and physicians.
• Provide care and administer treatments, medications, and diagnostics per policy.
• Plan discharge and educate patients and families.
• Promote safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
